For seven long years I suffered with an unexplainable illness. It was debilitating. It consumed my days and robbed me of a simple smile. The pain alienated me from my job, my friends, and most of all my family. I suffered with chronic daily headaches. I sought every medical doctor that seemed viable. Every test, every MRI, CAT scan and X-ray came with no real answers. My wife discovered Dr. Tompkins and I soon realized that he offered a viable treatment. After the first treatment and implementation of the orthotic I had a vast 70% improvement. With all my past treatments combined I had never seen even a 5% improvement. I would like to thank Dr. Tompkins for bringing to my attention the possibility that I had the dangerous condition of sleep apnea. I was subsequently diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and was then outfitted with a CPAP machine to use during the night. I have been on the CPAP machine for almost a year now and am happy to say that it has made a world of difference in the quality of my sleep, and my general level of "tiredness" through the day. Before I started using the CPAP I felt tired all the time regardless of how many hours I "slept". I didn't realize that I wasn't getting much deep sleep. Also, an additional benefit is that my blood pressure has been 20-25 points lower since I have been on the CPAP. My wife also thanks you for also enjoying much better sleep because she isn't worried about me and doesn't have to listen to me snore all night.

As a high-level, competitive soccer player, my daughter lived and breathed the game. From adolescence she had regularly suffered from headaches, but at the age of 15 began having debilitating migraines. About that same time she suffered a mild concussion during a game. She was examined by a doctor, placed on injured reserve for a month and eventually returned to play. Soon after she began encountering exercised-induced dizziness and nausea that became so frequent that she was unable to play. She was seen by well-respected physicians – including a neurologist and a sports concussion specialist. Fortunately all tests, including an MRI of her brain, showed no problems. The headaches and exercise-induced issues persisted and even worsened. The conclusion was that she would most likely “grow out of it." Meanwhile her headaches seemed to occur more frequently. Finally, while at her six-month dental exam, Dr. Tompkins asked several questions about her overall health. He listened carefully and then indicated that perhaps all her symptoms, all the worry, all the downtime – could be eliminated with a custom orthotic.

Within just days of wearing it, she was a different kid. NO HEADACHES – AT ALL!!!! Within a short while she returned to the field and did not experience any of the dizziness or nausea that had been so debilitating. I cannot sing Dr. Tompkins’ praises enough – and that of Marlene and his entire staff. He is the only dentist I could ever imagine caring for my family! He is extremely caring, gentle, incredibly educated and truly genuine. We are fortunate to have such a talented and caring professional in our community.

After 18 years of suffering with TMJ I finally have relief! My symptoms started after the birth of my first daughter and were apparently caused by orthodontic work I had as a teenager. I had horrible migraines weekly, neck pain and stiffness, ringing in my ears, horrible vertigo and muscle spasms in my ears which often felt like swimmers ear. Eventually, I developed numbness in my arms and gastric ulcers from pain medications I was constantly taking.

Thankfully, through a friend, I learned about LVI and I got on their website to find a NMD in the area. I’m so thankful Dr. Tompkins was nearby, but I would have traveled anywhere to get out of pain. I received my neuromuscular orthotic in August and experienced immediate relief. When I now go back to my "pathological bite" I cannot believe I used to have my jaw in that position. After about five adjustments, I think my jaw is in its optimum position. My gastric ulcers are healing. All other symptoms related to my TMJ have subsided as well. I highly recommend Dr. Tompkins and his staff and feel so very blessed to have heard about the new way for treating TMJ.

I had chronic migraines for ten miserable years and spent thousands of dollars on many other "miracle" treatments and medications and hundreds of hours researching migraines on the computer, before I found Dr. Tompkins. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about this procedure, but I was out of options and tired of taking pain pills, so I decided it was worth a try. Wow, am I glad I took the chance - I finally have my life back and it was so easy!!! The orthotic has helped amazingly! I went from having a headache for most of the day, almost every day to having one occasionally that I take over-the-counter pain relief for. I no longer need any of the six prescriptions I used to take and feel wonderful!

I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service that was provided. Marlene is exceptionally helpful and friendly. She did EVERYTHING for me - she filled out all of the paperwork and put it in a stamped envelope and even addressed it to my insurance company. A few weeks later I received a check from my insurance company. I still can't believe that it was that simple! In addition to the amazing customer service, I was also overwhelmed by the sincerity of Dr. Tompkins and his staff. I feel very blessed to have found a doctor who has enough compassion that he and his staff actually called my home several times to check on how I was doing. I was especially taken aback by the call I received over the Christmas holidays. That is an outstanding practice that you don't see much these days. Again, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thanks for everything! My prayer is that anyone else who is struggling with chronic pain will find you and trust that it is as easy as it sounds. This is one of those rare things that are not too good to be true. It is easy and it does work!
